Grace Baez began her dance training at the age of six at Abrons Art Center, where she was introduced to Ballet and Salsa. Her passion and dedication led her to continue her training at esteemed institutions such as Ballet Hispánico and Alvin Ailey, studying under renowned mentors including Yvonne Gutierrez, Juan Carlos Penuela, Lisa Attles, Caridad Martinez, and Ana Lourdes Novoa. Through these experiences, she developed a strong foundation in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, Salsa, Flamenco, and Hustle.
In 2021, Grace performed with both Brooklyn Ballet and City Ballet of Boston, where she appeared as a guest artist in their productions of The Nutcracker. She began teaching in 2018 and quickly discovered a deep passion for creating inclusive, encouraging spaces where dancers of all levels can explore their creativity, refine their technique, and express themselves through movement.
Currently, Grace serves as a teaching artist for Misty Copeland’s Be Bold Foundation and the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, where she teaches Ballet and Salsa. Outside the studio, Grace enjoys mixing music, choreographing, and reading. A devoted Salsa dancer, she has performed and competed at numerous events including The Summit Championship, Tri-State Dance Festival, TNT Salsa Fiesta, Latin Hustle Salsa United, International Latin Hustle Festival, and the New York Salsa Congress.
