The Addie-tude Dance Company began the new year by debuting their newest number at the Mambo Showdown over at Starlite Caterers this past January 2002. These photos were taken a month later during the second performance of the number at the February 17th, 2002 Jimmy Anton Latin Sunday Social. Addie and her dance company have been pushing the envelope taking mambo performing to the next level with what is now becoming their signature trademark. First came the Melody with the women's "Love for Sale" and the men doing their "Shinning Knight" Zoot Suit Cha-Cha number, then came the knife fight number (Hustler). Now Addie and has put together the most colorful, theatrical and most innovative number to come out of New York to date: Muneca (meaning "Doll" in English).

The number is basically a "Babes in Toyland Story" complete with elaborate costumes, nursery intro, marching soldiers and toys coming to life combined with mambo dancing. Plenty of thought went into the number with an eye to detail. The result we hope is a number that is both fun to perform and watch.

Quote from Edie The Salsa Freak
when she saw the number performed at the 1st Zurich Salsa Kongress:

"The "darling" of all the shows came from the Addie-Tude dance company. They performed as Toy soldiers, complete with Raggedie-Anne and a Fairytale Tinkerbell."
