June was a month to remember at Addie-Tude Cultural Arts Center! Our students lit up the stage during our end-of-season showcase, delivering unforgettable performances that reflected months of hard work, growth, and heart. We are incredibly proud of each dancer, actor, and performer who brought their passion and talent to life.

A special thank you to our Latin Dance students and families who went above and beyond by representing Addie-Tude in the community—performing at Pleasantville Day and the White Plains Hispanic Heritage Festival. Your energy, pride, and unity showcased the spirit of Addie-Tude far and wide. You didn't just perform — you inspired! Thank you for joining our commitment to promoting our heritage and I look forward to seeing you at our summer performances in Valhalla and Peekskill.

To our parents, caregivers, instructors, and staff—your unwavering support makes it all possible. Thank you for lifting up our performers and helping us create a space where the arts thrive.

¡Junio fue un mes inolvidable en el Centro de Artes Culturales Addie-Tude! A Few Words from Ms. Addie

As our school year wraps up, we’re filled with pride and gratitude for another inspiring season at Addie-tude Cultural Arts Center. Our dancers have grown tremendously—technically, artistically, and personally—and we’re so proud of the dedication, discipline, and heart they've shown all year long.

This month marks the end of our regular season, and we’re heading into final rehearsals for our end-of-year showcase. These rehearsals are crucial, and we ask all dancers to arrive on time, prepared, and ready to shine. The showcase is more than just a performance—it’s a celebration of hard work, creativity, and the powerful community we’ve built together.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce our 2025 Summer Session ! This is a perfect opportunity for our dancers of all levels to stay active in a fun, supportive environment and just have fun! Registration is open — spots fill up fast, so don’t wait!

We’re also kicking off auditions and pre-season training for our competition dance team. If you're ready to take your dance journey to the next level, this is your moment! Our comp team represents the best of our studio's passion, technique, and teamwork. We welcome returning dancers and newcomers alike to audition and be part of this high-energy, goal-driven group.

Over the next two months, you will see Addie-tude Cultural Arts Center at some of Westchester County’s largest outdoor events including the Yonkers Puerto Rican Parade & Festival, White Plains Street Fair and many more. Please stop by our booth at these events as we continue to promote and support cultural dance.

I Don't Speak Spanish But....

A Heartfelt Thanks...

As part of our commitment to promoting cultural arts, we invited our dear friend Rodney Lopez to present his very informative and thought-provoking presentation “I Don’t Speak Spanish But I Understand Everything When I’m Dancing”. Rodney Lopez is a former member of our professional dance company, Addie-tude Dance Company. The title of this presentation stems from a song by Bobby Matos & John Matos to which I choreographed a routine to this song in the early 2000s. Rodney’s presentation delves into the nature of language and heritage and how it impacts culture.

Thank you to all that joined us for this presentation on Friday, May 2, 2025. Your presence truly made the evening memorable, and we are deeply grateful for your support.

Rodney López fue miembro de nuestra compañía de danza profesional, Addie-tude Dance Company. El título de esta presentación proviene de una canción de Bobby Matos y John Matos, para la cual coreografié una rutina a principios de la década del 2000. Why is dance important for kids? Dance is often called the superhero of sports. It teaches flexibility, coordination, endurance, etc. but beyond these health benefits, it is known to reduce stress, improve memory and much more. Why are the cultural arts important for kids? It fosters cultural awareness, appreciation, and understanding.

For these reasons, we are dedicated to growing and enriching the dance community by offering cultural, formal, and mainstream dance styles. Our program’s vision is to provide children and adults with a top-quality dance education while ensuring a nurturing and memorable experience.
